You have extensive knowledge and experience as a designer; illustrating, animating, conceptual and out-of-the-box thinking are familiar territory for you. You have experience in developing corporate identities and are strong in coming up with creative concepts. You are known for your problem-solving skills and find complex issues a challenge. Job Requirements:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design, visual communications or a related field of study.
● Demonstrable experience (3 years) as a graphic designer, preferably within a marketing agency or a similar creative environment.
● Living in Curacao
● Extensive knowledge of graphic design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Sketch.
● Strong portfolio with examples of previous design projects that demonstrate creativity, originality and craftsmanship.
● Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory and layout techniques.
● Creative thinking and the ability to transform concepts into visually appealing designs.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers.
● Proactive work attitude, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Designing graphic content for various marketing purposes, including but not limited to advertisements, brochures, banners, social media images, infographics, presentations and website elements.
● Translating creative concepts and marketing strategies into visually attractive designs that align with our brand identity and communication goals.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to understand and implement project requirements and design needs

Marketing Assistant & Traffic Coordinator

For our fast-growing marketing agency, located on the beautiful island of Curacao, we are looking for a part time Marketing Assistant & Traffic Coordinator (+/-20 hours per week).

Are you that jack of all trades that is eager to start working within a team of ambitious professionals, for both local and international brands? As a Marketing Assistant & Traffic Coordinator at Social Lemons you’ll support our Marketing Managers. You have excellent organizational skills, are result-driven and have a hands-on mentality. On a daily basis you draft press releases, update the website(s) and social media pages, plan events and provide administrative support. Next to that you’ll also produce and distribute marketing materials and analyze the impact of marketing campaigns.

You have:

  • Great interpersonal skills: As a Marketing Assistant & Traffic Coordinator you need to build relationships with a wide variety of people. A personable manner, a proclivity for team-working and adaptability are all important;
  • Excellent written and oral skills (Dutch & English, Papiamento is a plus);
  • IT skills: You will need proficiency in MS Office packages and basic skills in Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop;
  • Organizational skills: As a Marketing Assistant & Traffic Coordinator you will have to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy;
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience and have finished an education in the direction of Marketing/Communications (HBO-level).

Start using Google Analytics

Do you have a website for your business? If so, do you know how often your website is visited? Via which channels are visitors coming to your website? Are these desktop or mobile users?

To measure and monitor the results of your website (and campaigns), you use Google Analytics. Here are the basic steps for the implementation of Analytics for your business:

1. Create your Analytics account
First of all: create a Google Analytics Account. For this, you need a Google account.

2. Implement the Tracking code
Make sure the results are being measured: is your website (correctly) linked to your Analytics account? There are different options for this, for example the implementation of the Google Tracking in the code of your website, or use a tool like MonsterInsights. Take into account that it takes a while before the first results are visible in Analytics (it takes at least 24 hours).

3. Use Link Tracking
You can use Link Tracking, for example by using UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) links, to measure the results of your campaigns. Make sure you use these (shortened) links in all your online marketing expressions. This way, Google Analytics can clearly measure how visitors end up on your website. Is this because of your monthly newsletter, or via the social media contest you just started? Take a look at which channel actually provides the most traffic. And come up with a strategy: how can your business anticipate on these results?

Social media activities

Back to basics
Before you start your Social Media activities, it is important to go back to the core of your business. If you could describe your company in one sentence, what would it be? Write it down, as simple as possible, so everyone immediately understands. This will not only help you to know if you’re on the right path, but also helps you discover where (and by who) your brand is being talked about. Since it’s now clear what you’re doing: try to figure out how people talk about your business. How’s your online findability? Are there questions being asked about your product and/or services? Do they have feedback which you can work with? And most of all, don’t forget to take a look how your competitors are positioning themselves. Analyse and research! THE DOWNSIDES OF THE ‘BOOST’ BUTTON

Using the ‘boost’ button is an easy way of advertising on Facebook. However, there are a few disadvantages of using it compared to advertising via Facebook’s free tool Ads Manager.

Note: if you would like to promote only one update one time, using the boost button is no problem. But for real results, we would love to teach you the real deal.

Here are a few cons for using the boost button:

WHO DO I REACH?

With the boost button, you will reach (without any extra settings) only the friends of the people who like your page. But who says the friends of your fans share the same interests?

Seems like wasted money.

FOREIGN LIKES

When you use the first option in target selection (friends of fans) the chance you receive foreign likes for your page is huge. For example, your business is in Curacao but many of your page fans lived in The Netherlands for a long time. The main part of their friends still live in The Netherlands. This way you’re not targeting the audience that is actually living in the area your business is situated.

RESTRICTED SELECTION POSSIBILITIES

The second option for your target audience selection via the boost button, is to target people for the demographic characteristics. Think about: city of residence, age, sex and interests they shared on Facebook.

These selection possibilities are very limited in comparison to the ones from Ads Manager.

COSTS

Due to the minimal possibilities of target selection with the boost button, a large part of your budget will be spend on people who won’t be interested in your updates. And that’s what it’s all about right? You only want to pay for your Facebook ads when they actually reach your target audience.
